Salobreña is one of the most beautiful villages along the Costa Tropical. Its white houses look like sugar spikes on the hill crowned by the castle which the Moors thousands of years ago used as summer residence. In this part of the village you also find the historical museum. In the old town you will find the neighborhoods Brocal and La Villa and also Albaycín located 98 meters above the sea. This offers one of the best panoramic views of the Costa Tropical. Other attractions include the Church of Del Rosario, La Boveda, Paseo de la Flores and lookout part Postigo.
The community is typically Spanish with a lovely Andalusian atmosphere.
In the newer part of the village you find small boutiques, delis, bars and restaurants. We are privileged to be in the province of Granada where the old tradition still is followed - order a drink and you get tapas at no cost.
Salobrena has a large lovely beach and the beach promenade is very popular of the locals, here you will also find a wide selection of restaurants. Around Salobrena was formerly plains full of sugar cane but now concentrate on other crops such as avocado, mango, banana, tomato and pepper.
